Loop                  Coloured Resins on Perspex                       30 x 30cm

Loop is part of a series of fake ishihara colour blindness test pictures. It is predominantly shades of red, cadmium orange and light greens. The red / green separation being the most common form of colour blindness. All of the pictures were based on a loop shape which re-ocurred in all of the pictures albeit in different colours. It seemed to me quite interesting to design an image that was based on an elemental form rather than on a number. It may it be easier to trace the outline of a form once it had been discovered already in other images rather than a random number thereby improving (or perhaps undermining) the ishihara test.
